About
Every season (May–Oct) I ride my motorcycle to 8–10 small Italian vineyards, sleep under the stars and bring back stories about the people behind the wine in long-format articles, videos, and photos.
Hi! I’m Izack Stjernberg, a Danish journalist who is a lover of wine, motorbikes and travel (not necessarily in that order).
By day, I work at Enoteka, a tiny Italian wine shop in Helsingør, Denmark. But every season (May–October) I get on my motorcycle and ride to 8–10 small, family-run vineyards in Italy.
I spend a night in the vineyard under the stars, listen to the growers' stories and come home with long-format articles, videos, and photos to give you a better understanding of the people behind the wine.
Between seasons it’s a bit more quiet – just like on the road.
Season 1 starts May 2026
– and I'm taking you along for the ride.
So what’s my backstory?
I come from a dedicated food and wine family with a passion for Italy, and I grew up with homemade pasta and Italian wine on the table. We also spent every summer in Italy, where I was dragged around from winery to winery — much to my displeasure at the time.
Then life happened, and I became a journalist with big ambitions. Worked as a political speechwriter at top government level, a facilitator, communications director, entrepreneur and brand consultant before I rediscovered wine. Or rather, wine rediscovered me.
To pay the rent after two years of global lock-down, I started working at Enoteka in 2023, and everything from my childhood clicked into place. It became clear that wine had always been a path for me, waiting to happen. I just hadn’t seen it.
I surrendered and allowed the world of wine to take root in me, and here we are. MotoVino Adventures grew organically out of the process, and I’m grateful for being able to contribute with my journalistic voice.
Welcome to the journey.
